Accessibility Statement
Note: This statement is updated on an ongoing basis. The entry into force of the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG, German Accessibility Strengthening Act) on 28 June 2025 also covers digital services in electronic commerce with consumers. We are continuously working to bring our website and our services into line with the state of the art.
1. Scope
This accessibility statement applies to the website of VIVAM GmbH published at https://vivam.io as well as to the digital services in electronic commerce offered via this website (in particular the conclusion of the subscription for VIVAM GUIDE at vivam.io/checkout).
The relevant legal basis is the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG, German Accessibility Strengthening Act) in conjunction with the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz-Verordnung (BFSGV, associated ordinance) as well as the European standard EN 301 549, which adopts the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1/2.2 conformance level AA.
2. Status of compliance with the requirements
Based on VIVAM GmbH’s own assessment, this website is partially compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.2 level AA.
The following areas already meet the requirements:
- Semantically structured content (heading hierarchy, lists, landmarks).
- Keyboard operability of the central flows (navigation, cookie banner, contact form, checkout, appointment selection).
- Self-operated appointment selection (demo and installation appointments) based on native buttons and radio/selection groups – fully usable via keyboard; no integration of external widgets.
- Dialogs with role="dialog", aria-labelledby and focus handling.
- Responsive layout that remains legible up to a scaling of 400% (WCAG 1.4.10 Reflow).
- Avoidance of using colour coding alone to convey information.
- Consideration of the user setting prefers-reduced-motion: reduced animations in that case.
The following points have not yet been conclusively reviewed or implemented:
- Complete review of all colour contrasts in accordance with WCAG 1.4.3 (minimum contrast 4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for large text/UI components), in particular on the product and pricing page.
- Reviewing alternative texts for all images and icons (WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content).
- The payment page of our payment service provider Mollie B.V. is outside our direct sphere of influence and is the responsibility of the provider. We monitor its compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA and are in contact where necessary.
- Screen reader tests with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver across all steps of the ordering process.
3. Non-accessible content (exceptions)
Insofar as content cannot be provided in a fully accessible manner due to a disproportionate burden within the meaning of § 17 BFSG or due to a fundamental change to the service, we expressly indicate this here. At present, we do not invoke any such exception.
4. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 16 April 2026 and is based on an internal review (self-assessment) on the basis of WCAG 2.2 level AA and EN 301 549. A review is carried out at least once a year and on an ad hoc basis in the event of significant changes to the website.
